Financial Controller, SME, Dublin West

Our client is a high profile specialist supplier to the construction sector. Based from their head office in Dublin, they have a significant presence across Ireland and have supported a range of major high profile construction projects. They are seeking to recruit a Financial Controller to manage the day to day finance operations and support the CFO across all areas of an evolving finance function.

Reporting to the CFO, the role will involve:

• Develop and implement key strategic financial management for the business
• Managing preparation of financial reporting & analysis
• Manage annual audit and year end completion
• Co-ordinate annual budget & forecasts that align with key strategic objectives
• Cash Flow & Treasury Management
• Ownership for all aspects of Internal Controls, Regulatory Compliance and Balance Sheet reviews
• Identify opportunities for continuous development & improvement of financial systems
• Ensure compliance with all taxation and statutory obligations.
• Lead and development of finance team
• Prepare business cases to support strategic and investment decisions
• Corporate Governance - Advise the CEO and Board on financial matters, providing regular performance updates
• Stakeholder Management - Maintain strong relationships with investors, banks, and regulatory bodies.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Accountant with a number of years post qualification experience within similar size engineering, manufacturing or construction organisation
• Will consider a practice candidate making their 1st move to industry
• Track record of "adding value" and result delivery to tight deadlines
• Must have excellent technical accounting experience and be comfortable interacting at senior leadership team level.
