Job Description
Financial Controller

CREGG are seeking an experienced and ambitious Financial Controller to join our client's growing team based in Shannon, Clare. This is a full time onsite position. The Financial Controller will play a key role in financial reporting, cost analysis, and supporting business growth within a design and manufacturing services environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the month end close process, including journals, reconciliations, and preparation of management reporting packs.
  • Maintain and reconcile key financial areas including Fixed Assets, Prepayments, Accruals, Customer Deposits, and Net Wages.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
  • Oversee bank and credit card transactions, including monthly reconciliations.
  • Prepare and manage weekly cashflow reports and forecasts.
  • Manage revenue returns and correspondence, including VAT and PREM.
  • Produce regular and ad hoc financial reports and performance metrics.
  • Take a hands on role in managing weekly and monthly cash flow.
  • Develop cashflow plans and analyse performance against sales forecasts.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO on cash planning and sales forecasting.
  • Ensure robust financial controls and processes are in place and maintained.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and system implementations, including ERP projects.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum Level 8 degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in an accounting role, ideally within a design, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial and management accounting principles.
  • Strong IT and systems skills, including experience with ERP implementations.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, as well as part of cross functional teams.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
