Financial Controller

On an exclusive basis, greenwellgleeson are recruiting for a Financial Controller to work with an SME manufacturing business based in Birmingham.

Responsible for managing the day-to-day finance function and supporting the Finance Director with financial reporting, budgeting, controls, and performance analysis.

Duties of the role will include:

• Manage the accounts team (purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll).

• Oversee supplier payments and cashflow control.

• Produce monthly management accounts, KPI reporting and variance analysis.

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and year-end/audit processes.

• Manage VAT, Intrastat/EC Sales, and intercompany recharges.

• Reconcile bank and balance sheet control accounts.

• Oversee invoice finance facility reporting.

• Monitor capex, tooling control, stock movement and costing.

• Ensure compliance with policies and improve finance systems/processes.

Skills, Requirements, Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified

• Team management experience.

• Manufacturing/engineering finance background with stock/costing knowledge.

• Strong technical accounting, reporting and analytical skills.

• Excellent IT (Office 365), communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
