Financial Controller

A reputable manufacturing company is hiring a Financial Controller

Are you a commercially astute Financial Controller ready to take ownership of finance in a dynamic manufacturing environment? We're partnering with a well-established, forward-thinking manufacturing company in Hull that's seeking a strategic and hands-on finance leader to join their senior management team.
This is a business with deep roots in the region and a reputation for quality, innovation, and operational excellence. With ambitious growth plans and a strong order book, they're looking for a Financial Controller who can help steer the business through its next phase.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
• Drive cost control and margin improvement across manufacturing operations
• Business partner with operations and senior leadership to support strategic decision-making
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and liaise with external auditors
• Lead and develop a small finance team

What We're Looking For

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to challenge and influence at all levels
• Hands-on approach with a commercial mindset
