Financial Communications Director, London - Role OverviewAs Financial Communications Director, you will lead the organisation's financial communications strategy across investor relations, financial media and corporate messaging. Working closely with senior leadership, including the CEO, CFO and Investor Relations team, you will ensure that financial information and corporate updates are communicated clearly to shareholders, analysts and the media. This senior financial communications role in London combines strategic messaging, investor engagement and media relations to strengthen the company's reputation in financial markets.
Key Responsibilities - Financial Communications DirectorFinancial Communications Strategy and Investor Messaging
- Develop and implement financial communications strategies aligned with the company's overall business and financial objectives.
- Advise senior leaders on financial messaging, investor relations and reputation management, ensuring communications meet regulatory standards.
Media Relations and Financial PR
- Lead media relations efforts. Build relationships with key financial journalists, analysts and business media outlets.
- Position the company in financial and broadcast media to support credibility and reputation.
Investor Relations Communications
- Prepare and review content for earnings statements, results, presentations, press releases and financial reports.
- Oversee investor communications, including earnings calls, annual reports and institutional investor engagement.
Internal Communications Alignment
- Develop internal communications strategies with HR and leadership for consistent company-wide messaging.
- Ensure employees are informed and aligned with key financial and corporate updates.
Communications Agency Management
- Work with external agencies to plan, execute, and report on communications campaigns.
We are hiring a highly experienced financial communications professional with a strong investor relations and messaging track record, proven ability to develop and execute communication strategies, and experience engaging with stakeholders and analysts. You have expertise in financial PR, investor communications and stakeholder engagement, preferably gained at a public company or within the financial services industry.

- Strong knowledge of financial media, investor relations best practices and regulatory requirements
- Proven success in media relations with financial journalists and analysts
- Exceptional writing skills and ability to simplify complex financial information

- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines
- Collaborative and detail-oriented with a strong understanding of financial markets and corporate strategy
