ID Recruitment are working with a renowned large cardealership company in Mayo to recruit a S Financial Accountant.

Reporting to the financial controller, the person in thisrole will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting, control, and compliance across the dealership group. This role ensures accurate financial information, supports strategic decision-making, and maintains strong financial governance within a fast-paced automotive retail environment.

Key Responsibilities include;

• Preparemonthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis
• Ensuretimely and accurate year-end financial statements
• Maintainthe general ledger and oversee all reconciliations
• Managefixed asset registers and depreciation schedules

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assistin the annual budgeting process
• Produceregular forecasts and provide insights on financial performance
• Partnerwith department heads to monitor budgets and cost control

Cash Flow & Working Capital

• Monitorand manage cash flow across the business
• Overseebanking relationships, payments, and treasury functions
• Ensureeffective control of stock, debtors, and creditors

Audit & Compliance

• Liaisewith external auditors and manage the audit process
• Ensurecompliance with tax regulations (VAT, Corporation Tax, etc.)
• Maintainrobust internal controls and financial policies

Commercial Support

• Providefinancial analysis to support business decisions
• Workclosely with sales and operations teams to improve profitability
• Analysemargins, vehicle stock performance, and aftersales revenue

Skills, education andexperience Qualifications & Experience

• Qualifiedaccountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Minimum3+ years' experience in a similar role
• Excellentanalytical and problem-solving skills
• Highlevel of attention to detail and accuracy
• AdvancedExcel skills; experience with accounting/ERP systems
