Description

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting and finance operations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.
• Analyse financial data to provide actionable insights and support strategic decisions.
• Monitor cash flow and manage financial risks effectively.
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices within the accounting and finance department.

Profile

Requirements:

Essential

Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

Experience in financial accounting roles within financial services, consumer lending, BNPL, or similar

Strong understanding of loan accounting and balance sheet management

Experience working with LMS/General Ledger systems

Excellent Excel skills and strong attention to detail

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, change-driven environment

Desirable

Experience supporting finance system implementations or migrations

Understanding of Expected Credit Loss (ECL) models

Experience working in a regulated environment
