Job Description JOB TITLE: Finance SME - Security and Business Run (6 month FTC) SALARY: £65,385 - £72,650 LOCATION(S): Bristol HOURS: Full-time WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at leasttwo days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sitesAn opportunity has arisen for a strategic role overseeing the security and financial reporting of LBG applications, critical to maintaining operational integrity and compliance. About this opportunity The FAST Security team is responsible for ensuring the security, compliance, and governance of finance applications across the organisation. Their work is pivotal to maintaining the integrity of financial reporting and safeguarding sensitive data. Day to day, you will : Ensuring the integrity of data as it flows through the application landscape to make certain any operational failures don't result in a material impact on finance data delivered to downstream MI systems. Reducing the risk of operational and control failures by reviewing and understanding monthly operational tasks. Within the small team providing cover for these tasks will also be critical. Working with key partners including application subject matter experts, service engineers and POs to manage the impact and resolution of daily system issues, failures, errors and incidents. Support the Operations and Security teams to implement live fixes and error resolution to ensure SLAs and controls are adhered to. Provide input into impact assessments of inbound and project change to ensure there are no risks to operational or security processes. Builds and maintain relationships whilst inspiring confidence with Finance Risk, Group Audit and External Auditors. Coaches and develops colleagues to develop team capability and increase capacity. Prioritises continuous improvement for the team to increase efficiency and productivity and enhancing of controls. Leads the effective delivery of risk and control activities in team. Responsible for the operation and management of risks associated with own and teams SOX controls. Proving cover for other Managers within the team. What you'll need: Ability to demonstrate strict adherence to controls and governance is essential. Excellent written and oral communication. Able to make sound judgments whilst working under pressure. Self/Work Organisation. Seeing work through to deliver tangible results. Strong collaborative working. Experience working to an operational timetable would be preferential and understanding of scheduling batch processing would also be advantageous. Analytically minded. A qualified accountant or equivalent Finance experience is essential. And any experience of these would be really useful: Experience in an operational systems role would be advantageous, especially with application knowledge of MABE4, AAH, FDPP, GDRS or Oracle Fusion. Minimum requirement would be to understand how data flows through these applications. Knowledge of how the UAM processes work for any of these applications would be advantageous. Experience working to an operational timetable would be preferential and understanding of scheduling batch processing would also be advantageous.
