Larkhill & District Credit Union is a progressive member focused credit union providing a full range of financial services to the community of Whitehall, Santry & Beaumont since 1967.

Part-Time Finance Officer

We are seeking a Part-Time Finance Officer to support the effective financial management and reporting of the Credit Union. Reporting to the Manager/CEO, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the smooth operation of the finance function.

Location: Larkhill & District Credit Union, 234 Swords Road, Whitehall, Dublin 9, D09N722.

Hours: Part-time (16-20 hours per week - flexibility required).

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records in line with Credit Union policies and accounting standards.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Assist with budget preparation, cash flow monitoring, and variance analysis.
• Process payroll, creditor payments, and bank reconciliations.
• Support regulatory reporting requirements to the Central Bank of Ireland.
• Assist with year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors.
• Maintain strong financial controls and support internal audit processes.
• Carry out other finance and administrative duties as required.

Skills & Experience

• Relevant qualification in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping (or equivalent experience).
• Previous experience in a finance or accounts role (Credit Union or financial services experience desirable).
• Strong numerical, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Knowledge of accounting software and strong Excel skills.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements is an advantage.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
