Finance Business Partner

My Local Government client is looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner into the team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of Finance your role will include:

• Dealing with Assistant Directors and Managers of a particular service area(s).
• Monthly or quarterly financial monitoring of all budgets with service - Revenue and possibly capital.
• Creation of yearly budgets in conjunction with the service.
• All year end processes.
• Dealing with audit queries following closedown as well as during the year Internal Audits.
• Report checking and sign off.
• Assisting and critical appraisal of service Business Plans / Projects.
• Covering for Lead Business Partner.
• Development / review of systems and processes.

To be considered for the role you will need to be either a CCAB qualified accountant or studying towards the qualification as well as have previous experience in a Local Government Finance environment.

This is a permanent role with 2 to 3 days a week in the office and a salary of circa £40,000-45,000.
