Job Description

Finance Business Partner, Financial Services Start-Up, London, c£75k + 20% bonus + 20% pension

We are exclusively partnering a leading Financial Institution start-up formed by a group of the UK's top retail banks. This is a newly created role and an outstanding opportunity for a qualified, commercially astute Finance Business Partner to join the team.

This is an important role that combines strategic insight with financial expertise to drive performance and support decision-making across the business. You will be responsible for transforming complex financial data into compelling narratives, delivering insights that resonate with senior stakeholders including the Board, owners, and Executive Leadership.

They offer great flexibility being a predominantly work from home business looking for someone to visit their central London location 1 day per week with travel being paid for.

Executive Reporting & Storytelling

  • Develop and deliver high-quality Board and Executive packs with clear, insightful commentary.
  • Translate financial data into meaningful business narratives that drive strategic conversations.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Strategy, and Operations.
  • Present findings and recommendations in a clear, confident, and concise manner.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Produce and maintain regular management information (MI) reports and dashboards.
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis on business performance, trends, and variances.

Automation & Efficiency

  • Identify and automate repetitive or manual reporting tasks to streamline processes.
  • Leverage tools and systems to free up time for value-added analysis and storytelling.

Systems & Self-Service

  • Extract and manipulate data directly from finance systems
  • Build and maintain robust financial models and reporting templates.

Deadline Management

  • Operate effectively under tight deadlines, managing multiple priorities with precision and attention to detail.

To be successful in this role - you will need:

  • CIMA / ACCA/ ACA Qualified with relevant post qualified experience
  • Strong experience in executive reporting and insightful financial commentary
  • Proven ability to simplify complex financial information and influence senior stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for automation
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment
