Job Description

Butler Rose is working with one of the largest housing associations in London and the South East to recruit a Finance Business Partner - Compliance to support their team. This is a minimum three-month temporary role, offering hybrid working (2-3 days per week in the office, more office-based initially for training) and paying up to £192.36 a day PAYE or £254.38 a day via an Umbrella company.

As Finance Business Partner for Compliance, you will align financial management with operational priorities, helping improve efficiency, performance, and service delivery. You will provide meaningful financial insight, robust reporting, and day-to-day support to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality financial management information to drive cost control and performance
  • Partner with senior managers on business cases and financial decision-making
  • Evaluate and interpret financial data to inform strategic and operational objectives
  • Support financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes
  • Deliver accurate and clear reporting to meet evolving business needs
  • Collaborate with Analytics and Strategy teams to promote data-driven decisions
  • Build effective working relationships across finance and operational teams
  • Offer day-to-day financial advice and support to Compliance team leaders
What We're Looking For
  • Priority will be given to candidates who have strong double-entry knowledge (debits and credits)
  • Work confidently with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, standard formulas)
  • Demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and sound judgement
  • Seek approval before implementing system or process changes
  • Bring a proactive, positive, and collaborative attitude
Skills & Experience
  • Studying towards or holding a CCAB-recognised qualification (finalist/part-qualified/AAT considered)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data
  • Experience supporting operational or tactical decision-making
  • Evidence of effective working relationships within finance and cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to learn D365 and Power BI
