Finance and Governance Manager

Your new role

• Managing the day-to-day accounting function, ensuring robust financial processes, controls and compliance.
• Overseeing payroll and pension operations to ensure accurate and timely processing.
• Supporting the preparation of annual statutory accounts and financial reporting requirements.
• Managing relationships with internal and external auditors and coordinating audit activity.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant financial, governance and regulatory requirements.
• Supporting risk management processes and wider governance frameworks across the organisation.
• Providing financial guidance and business partnering support to senior stakeholders.
• Assisting with the development and implementation of financial strategies, policies and procedures.
• Leading, mentoring and developing finance team members to drive performance and continuous improvement.
• Supporting senior management in financial planning, budgeting and decision-making activities.

What you'll need to succeed

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) with 2+ years' post-qualified experience.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, management accounts and budgeting.
• Knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Experience supporting strategic decision-making and senior stakeholders.
• Proven business partnering and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Strong communication, organisational and leadership abilities.
