Recol Ltd, a growing precision manufacturing company that continues to invest in its people and operations, is seeking a motivated and organised Finance / Administration Assistant to join its team in Northampton.
The successful candidate will work closely with and support the Accounts Manager, providing essential finance and administrative support across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with previous administrative and basic accounts experience who is looking to develop their skills within a successful and expanding manufacturing environment.
The role will involve a varied range of finance and administrative duties, including:
- Answering incoming telephone calls, taking messages and customer details, and directing calls to the appropriate department.
- Greeting customers, suppliers and visitors.
- Scanning, filing and attaching documents to the company database.
- Processing invoices and reconciling delivery notes against invoices received and purchase orders.
- Verifying invoice accuracy and investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Reconciling supplier statements with purchase ledger records.
- Maintaining accurate records of administrative and financial transactions.
- Assisting with month-end closing procedures.
- Providing general administrative support to the finance department as required.
- Posting purchase invoices onto Sage.
- Responding to supplier and internal queries.
- Completing daily bank allocations.
- Supporting credit control activities and producing debtor reports.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in an administrative and/or basic accounts administration role.
- Experience of computerised data entry.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Familiarity with general office equipment and administrative procedures.
- The ability to type accurately and efficiently.
- Good working knowledge of Google applications, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
