Film Production Assistant Volunteers

Overview

In the UK we promote Holocaust education and awareness by sponsoring an annual seminar for UK teachers and informal educators at the International School of Holocaust Studies at Yad Vashem; we promote Yad Vashem's educational philosophy through our unique travelling exhibitions, learning resources, and through the use of Yad Vashem educators and public speakers; and we put names to the faceless victims of the Holocaust and remember them through our Guardian of the Memory Campaign and our Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah twinning projects.

Volunteer Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests on arrival
• Giving directions throughout the venue
• Supporting audience
• Managing coat check in and collection
• Issuing cloakroom tickets
• Maintaining an organised cloakroom area
• Checking guest lists
• Scanning tickets
• Distributing VIP wristbands
• Supporting queue management
• Supporting information tables
• Assisting guests with donations
• Helping with mailing list data capture
• Assisting with stage setup and resets
• Supporting musicians backstage
• Helping with chairs and seating arrangements
• Providing support wherever needed
• Assisting VIP guests
• Supporting front of house operations
• Volunteer as an online tutor, supporting Israeli children
• Pack and deliver food parcels for vulnerable children
• Act as a Reading Helper (adult volunteer within 5 miles of a school)
• Volunteer crew member - sessions in Hackney to help children
• Volunteer online sessions to help children practise skills
• Support visually impaired clients in their own homes
• Have experience and knowledge of PAT testing - understanding household electrical goods
