Field Service Engineer

Territory: North Leinster / East of Ireland

Salary: €70,000 - €80,000 + 10% Bonus Company Car Healthcare Pension Lunch Allowance

The Company:

Our client is a leading supplier of analytical and laboratory instrumentation with an established presence in the Irish market. They partner with some of the world's leading scientific equipment manufacturers and provide customers with complete technical support, from installation and commissioning through to servicing and ongoing maintenance.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their specialist chromatography and mass spectrometry service team.

The Role:

As Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and servicing of highly technical chromatography and mass spectrometry instrumentation.

This is a customer-facing field service position, working with laboratory customers across Ireland. The main territory will be North Leinster and the East, although some nationwide travel will be required.

Your role will include:

• Installation and commissioning of laboratory instrumentation at customer sites
• Preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
• Troubleshooting technical issues both onsite and remotely
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs
• Providing ongoing technical support to customers
• Training end users on equipment when required
• Completing service reports and calibration documentation
• Working closely with the wider service team to ensure a high standard of customer support

The position involves working with chromatography and mass spectrometry equipment, with experience servicing liquid and gas chromatography instrumentation particularly relevant.

The Person:

For this position, we are looking for an experienced technical professional with approximately 3-5 years' experience working with chromatography and mass spectrometry instrumentation.

You will ideally have:

• 3-5 years' hands-on experience with mass spectrometry and chromatography equipment
• Experience servicing, maintaining or troubleshooting highly technical laboratory instrumentation
• Experience with LC, GC and/or mass spectrometry systems
• A relevant Engineering, Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical or similar technical qualification
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing directly with laboratory customers
• A full clean driving licence

Experience working within quality or regulatory environments such as ISO, INAB, FDA or HPRA would also be advantageous.

Location:

North Leinster is the ideal location, however we are flexible for the right person and will consider candidates based across the East of Ireland or Midlands who are comfortable covering the required territory.
