Customer SupportField Service Engineer - UKUnited Kingdom Full-time About The Position Requirements 4+ years of experience as a Field Engineer or Field Technician in hardware/software installation and deployment Proven experience leading teams or contractors during technical installations Strong hands-on skills across civil works, networking, electrical wiring, and mechanical assemblies Working knowledge of Linux-based systems and basic networking principles Demonstrated ability to write installation, service, and maintenance procedures Previous experience using AutoCAD or Autodesk to generate and interpret site layouts Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to lead discussions and provide direction clearly Customer-first mindset and a high degree of resilience and adaptability under pressure Strong safety mindset and ability to enforce compliance at every stage of the job Willingness to travel up to 90% across the UK Valid driver's license Ideally, we're looking for: Experience working in startup companies. Certified electrician diploma. Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Experience with CAD software. Experience in automotive industry. A day in the life and how you'll make an impact: Act as the on-site lead during new system installations, directing third-party contractors and ensuring high-quality execution Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in real-time, resolving challenges under pressure Perform routine and emergency maintenance services across client sites Ensure full compliance with safety protocols and proactively identify potential risks Review site layouts using AutoCAD, ensuring feasibility and accuracy Write clear and thorough technical documentation, including installation and service reports Serve as the face of UVeye in the field, providing excellent customer service and managing client expectations with professionalism and confidence
