Key Responsibilities

• Develop and customise the Fidessa cash equities order management systems for US and Canadian markets.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions using Fidessa and Java.
• Collaborate with global teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Provide mentorship to new team members and contribute to risk identification and mitigation.
• Support third-line technical issues as needed.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on development experience with the Fidessa trading platform.
• Strong understanding of equities trading.
• Proficiency in Java (including Spring framework) and Python.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of other asset classes in Capital Markets.
• Experience with tools such as GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence.
• Familiarity with messaging systems (e.g., SOLACE).
• Exposure to algo containers and tick databases.
