FE Governor

Walsall College is a successful further and higher education provider serving learners across Walsall and the wider West Midlands. The College delivers a wide portfolio of vocational, technical and higher-level programmes for school leavers, adult learners and apprentices, working in close partnership with over 1,000 employers. Supporting around 13,000 learners and 850 staff, Walsall College is recognised for strong outcomes, with high progression and achievement rates.

The College's vision is "Transforming lives and our communities through learning", underpinned by inclusive values and a clear strategic focus on meeting local skills needs, improving attendance and English and maths outcomes, and delivering long-term financial and environmental sustainability.

The Board of Governors plays a central role in providing strategic leadership, oversight and challenge, working in close partnership with the Senior Management Team. With several upcoming vacancies, Walsall College now seeks to appoint four skilled governors to strengthen Board capacity and address key skills needs as the College progresses through its next phase of development.
