Reaseheath College is seeking new Governors to strengthen its Board and support the continued improvement and strategic growth of this nationally recognised, specialist land-based and technical college. With a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and inclusion, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a college that plays a vital role in shaping the future of land-based, environmental, and STEM education.

With over 4,900 learners, a £40 million annual turnover, and world-class facilities following a £100 million campus investment, Reaseheath delivers industry-focused education from entry to degree level. The College maintains deep links with sectors including agriculture, food innovation, engineering, and sustainability, achieving over 90% positive student progression into employment or further study.

The Board is seeking to appoint up to three Governors with expertise in key strategic areas - finance, people and culture, and education quality - to help deliver the College's mission to prepare students to be Industry Focused and Career Ready.

A finance professional (qualified accountant or similar) is sought to join the Audit Committee, providing oversight of assurance, risk, and audit in a complex regulatory environment.

An HR professional, ideally CIPD-qualified and experienced at director level, is sought to support the Remuneration Committee in shaping people strategy, performance, and succession planning.

A further education quality specialist, with recent Ofsted or sector improvement experience, is sought to strengthen quality governance and potentially chair the Quality and Standards Committee in future.

Previous board experience is welcomed but not essential. A comprehensive induction and mentoring programme is provided. Most important is a commitment to collaboration, strategic oversight, and supporting the success of students, staff, and the wider Reaseheath community.
