Job Description

Quarriers Glasgow North West Carers Service have an exciting opportunityto recruit a temporaryFamily Wellbeing Worker (Inclusion and Development) for 12 months.

Your new opportunity

The service provides support to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of unpaid carers of all ages in the Northwest of Glasgow. We achieve this by offering person centred, inclusive and holistic support focussing on what matters to carers and their families.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Develop and implement a successful Young Carers Peer Mentoring pilot
  • Develop a bank of volunteers and peer mentors to support initiatives
  • Provide peer support activities for unpaid carers utilising volunteers where appropriate
  • Develop a carer awareness course for volunteers and peer mentors
  • Monitor, evaluate and produce reports for Peer Mentoring pilot - collate and collect data and qualitative information including impact statements
  • Contribute to development of literature and promotional materials for social media, webpages etc for unpaid carers which supports inclusion and further development of the service
  • Able to work closely with colleagues and volunteers to identify, plan, organise and evaluate peer support groups and peer mentoring for both adult and young carers.
  • To undertake any other duties or responsibilities commensurate with the post

Working pattern: This is a temporary role for 12 months, with the possibility of extension subject to funding.

This role includes the use of agile working policies, offering 37 hours per weekMonday - Friday 9am - 5pm with possible evening and weekend work.
