Family Support Worker

Our client is currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Family Assessment Worker to join their Children & Families service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children and families and making a positive difference.

You will be responsible for supporting the assessment of children and families, identifying needs and risks, and working alongside professionals to promote positive outcomes.

• Completing comprehensive family and parenting assessments
• Working directly with children, parents and carers
• Identifying strengths, needs, risks and safeguarding concerns
• Contributing to care plans and assessment reports
• Working closely with social workers and partner agencies
• Supporting families to make positive and sustainable changes
• Maintaining accurate case records and professional documentation

• Previous experience working with children and families
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
• Strong assessment and report-writing skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• The ability to work with families experiencing complex circumstances
• A professional, child-centred approach
