Job Description
Position

The Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) is delighted to be recruiting a new Family Nurse to join one of our teams based in Dunfermline.

FNP is a specialist relational intensive home visiting service offered to all eligible first time pregnant mothers aged 20 years and under, and aged 25 and under if care experienced. The programme starts from early pregnancy until the first child turns two years of age, and is delivered alongside the universal Child Health Surveillance Programme (CHSP) by family nurses who also serve as the child's named person.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated understanding of the FNP programme
  • Passionate about working with young parents and committed to supporting them to improve health and wellbeing outcomes
  • Motivated to make a difference in the lives of children and families in the community
  • Skilled in forming strong therapeutic relationships and delivering person centred care
  • Reflective practitioner who promotes the FNP programme delivery
  • Experienced in holding a caseload and working autonomously to manage and prioritise complex needs within a structured programme
  • Professional experience working with young people
  • Knowledge and experience of Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC), child protection and related legislation
  • Member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme prior to appointment
