Job Description
Job Title: Family Hub Support Officer
Base Location: Holmfield House, W10 5PE
Job Type: 3-month
Salary: PAYE - £18.30/hour
Job PurposeTo provide efficient administrative and business support to the Early Help Service, ensuring effective service delivery across Family Hubs. The role includes acting as a first point of contact for families, maintaining accurate records and databases, and supporting operational and reporting activities.
Roles & Responsibilities- Act as the first point of contact, welcoming visitors and handling enquiries in a professional and supportive manner.
- Provide high-quality administrative support, including preparing documents, reports, and correspondence.
- Maintain and update databases, ensuring all records are accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Register new families and ensure all service user information is recorded in line with procedures.
- Generate reports and management information to support service delivery and performance monitoring.
- Organise meetings, including scheduling, room bookings, agendas, and minute-taking.
- Support the coordination of building operations, including health & safety checks and reporting issues.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and service users.
- Ensure compliance with data protection (GDPR), confidentiality, and council policies.
- Provide general administrative and team support, including covering for colleagues when required.
- Proven experience in an administrative or business support role.
- Strong customer service skills with experience in a public-facing environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and database systems.
- Experience in maintaining and managing databases and generating reports.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of data protection (GDPR) and confidentiality requirements.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
