We are seeking a Family Engagement Officerto join our team at Everest Community Academy, part of Bourne Education Trust.

As a Family Engagement Officer you will be responsible for delivering focussed family support to improve the social, emotional development, health, wellbeing and attendance of pupils at the school. Ensuring effective support and the inclusion of all pupils in all aspects of school life in line with School and Trust policies, promoting the ethos and the values of the school and Bourne Education Trust.

Position:Family Engagement Officer

Contract: Term-time, permanent

Start Date: January 2026

Key responsibilities include:
  • Work preventatively with identified families to provide early intervention, signposting, support and guidance
  • Initiate contact with parents/carers within a school context fostering positive relationships and support building their engagement with their child's learning and development
  • Design, promote and facilitate a flexible and effective range of intervention programmes and workshops to support parents/carers of children identified as vulnerable
Requirements include:
  • Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent appropriate qualification)
  • Ability to evidence effective continuous professional development
  • Relevant experience of working with in an education setting
