The RoleWe are looking for a Facilities Team Leader to join our team in Leicester. This is a hands on role where you'll be responsible for the effective delivery of post room and workplace support services, while supervising and supporting a small on site team.
You'll play a key part in ensuring a high quality, customer focused workplace experience, maintaining operational standards, and supporting the wider facilities function.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the day to day operations of the post room, ensuring accurate and timely distribution and dispatch of post and courier items
- Supervise and support post room team members, allocating tasks and monitoring performance
- Act as the first point of contact for post room operational issues, resolving or escalating as appropriate
- Deliver excellent customer service, responding to enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Maintain accurate records and reporting for incoming and outgoing mail
- Manage relationships with courier and delivery providers to ensure service levels are met
- Support the Facilities Manager with daily building operations and general facilities services
- Conduct regular floor walks and inspections to ensure a safe, clean, and well maintained workplace
- Log, track, and follow up on maintenance issues with relevant teams
- Support office moves, meeting room setups, and general workplace services
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, security, and company standards
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and service delivery
- Provide guidance, training, and onboarding support to team members
- Promote a positive team culture with high levels of accountability and performance
- Proven experience in facilities, post room, or workplace services within a corporate office environment
- Experience supervising or leading a small team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
- Confident prioritising tasks and managing day to day operations
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
