Job responsibilities

• Day to day delivery of cleaning services at Royal Stoke Site and support for Ward Assistant services.
• Ensure compliance with National Cleaning Standards, Infection Prevention, maintenance, PLACE and Food Hygiene Standards.
• Manage efficient, customer focused quality service for cleaning, catering and residencies.
• Liaise and maintain relationships with management and other agencies.
• Lead and develop a team of over 150 staff, including Supervisors and Facilities Service Support Assistants.
• Challenge practice and maintain high standards to support departmental success.
• Work varied shifts, including weekends, with flexible start and finish times.

Person Specification

Basic numeracy and literacy; ability to complete paperwork relevant to duties.

Qualifications

• NVQ Assessors Award in Supervisory or similar.

Essential and desirable

• Experience in a service/customer environment.
• Ability to follow instruction and provide training, process and procedures to other Facilities staff.
• Previous NHS experience within Domestic / Catering Services / Housekeeping.
• Understanding of H&S, COSHH and Risk Assessments.

Salary £25,760 to £27,476 per annum pro rata.
