We are seeking a Facilities Supervisor to become part of our Facilities team at our Manchester office.

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operation, maintenance and upkeep of company facilities, ensuring premises remain safe, secure, compliant and well maintained. The role supports the effective delivery of facilities services through the coordination of maintenance activities, contractor management, facilities administration and site improvements, while providing day-to-day supervision of the Facilities Operative and Cleaner to ensure high standards of housekeeping, presentation and customer service are maintained across all locations.

Key responsibilities
  • Coordinate day-to-day facilities activities, ensuring maintenance requests and facilities issues are managed effectively and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Arrange and oversee planned and reactive maintenance activities to ensure company premises remain safe, compliant and operational.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify maintenance requirements, housekeeping issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor site standards and ensure corrective actions are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Manage facilities-related consumables and supplies, ensuring appropriate stock levels are maintained.
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, landlords and service providers, coordinating works and monitoring service delivery.
  • Obtain quotations, schedule maintenance and repair works, and ensure agreed tasks are completed to the required standard.
  • Maintain accurate facilities, maintenance and contractor records, ensuring documentation is organised and up to date.
  • Support the scheduling and monitoring of statutory inspections, servicing requirements and compliance-related activities.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision, support and direction to the Facilities Operative and Cleaner, ensuring work is completed to the required standard and within agreed timescales.
  • Act as a key point of contact for facilities-related enquiries, providing updates on maintenance activities, projects and outstanding actions.
  • Support facilities projects, business improvements and operational initiatives as required.
  • Monitor the performance, attendance and workload of the Facilities Operative and Cleaner, providing guidance, training and support to maintain high standards of service delivery.

Key skills and relevant qualifications:
  • Experience coordinating facilities, maintenance, operational services or similar activities.
  • Experience supervising colleagues, contractors or service providers.
  • Strong organisational, administrative and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience maintaining documentation, records and compliance-related information.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications and business systems.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between company sites.
  • Experience within Facilities, Property, Operations, Logistics or a similar environment desirable.
  • Experience supporting maintenance, refurbishment or continuous improvement projects desirable.
