Facilities Operative (Domestic) - Nevill Hall Hospital

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board has an exciting opportunity to join our Facilities team as a Facilities Operative working within Domestic Services. These posts are based at Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny.
We are looking for highly motivated and energetic individuals who are committed to enhancing the patient & customer experience, therefore you must have a passion for providing a high level of customer service.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
The post-holder will undertake a range of specific work functions across the Facilities service.
This post is 20 hours per week to be worked 17:00 - 21:00, Monday to Friday.
Currently we are unable to provide certificates of sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the Home Office's criteria. Anyone requiring a certificate of sponsorship is therefore unable to be shortlisted and interviewed
This post is currently advertised at Band 2. The role is under review within the Health Board as part of a national review and may, in future, progress to Band 3 with an updated job description. If appointed, your manager will ensure you are kept informed and will support you through any changes, including discussing relevant training requirements.
Main duties of the jobThe duties within each function will be set out in the relevant job schedules. The assignment of these duties will meet the priority needs and demands of the service as identified by the manager/supervisor. The post-holder will therefore be expected to take a flexible approach to their duties, and must also be able to cover rosters.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification Education & Training- Basic general education
- Literate & Numerate
- Willingness to undertake future training as required by the post
- BIFM/NVQ level 2
- Experience of working in a healthcare or hospitality environment
- Able to communicate effectively with good interpersonal skills
