Job Description

Are you confident, a team player and self-motivated? Can you demonstrate organisational skills? Are you passionate about delivering excellent customer service, and have a positive attitude to change and problem solving?

We are looking for a customer focused individual to join our busy Facilities teams, to help safely manage several facilities including the Town Hall, community centres, sports pavilions, public toilets, allotments and cemeteries.

The role will include undertaking minor repairs and maintenance of the facilities, health and safety checks and ensuring compliance, meeting and greeting hirers, and opening and closing facilities for hirers and contractors.

You need to be physically fit and mobile to undertake the full requirements of this role.

There is one full-time permanent vacancy and one 12-month fixed-term vacancy available. Please specify on your application form which position(s) you wish to be considered for.

Additional information

The role requires you to work a shift rota including early shifts, late shifts, weekends and bank holidays. The standard working week is an average of 37 hours per week on an eight week rolling rota. You will be required to undertake out of hours callout as part of the rota, for which standby payment will be applied.

A full and current UK driving licence will be an essential requirement of the role.

You will be required to wear a uniform which is provided.

You will be required to undertake a First Aid at Work qualification.
