This position is for a zero-hour worker to cover annual leave and sick leave.

The role: Security and Health and Safety

• Carry out regular patrols of the residence and grounds, reporting any security/safety issues.
• Monitor and control health, safety, and maintenance standards within residence and grounds, reporting H&S issues and concerns to the residence management.
• Control, monitor, and supervise out-of-hours access to the residence, ensuring compliance with fire, health & safety procedures, and residence instructions.
• Respond effectively to fire alarm activations and liaise with emergency services when required.
• Monitor the signing in and out of all guests, visitors, and contractors.
• Complete help desk forms for reactive maintenance and pass to relevant personnel.
• Deal with queries and complaints efficiently, professionally, and courteously.
• Complete all necessary reports, including incident, noise, and accident reports.
• Monitor student conduct, encouraging fair behavior, and report breaches to the appropriate staff.
• Provide evidence and reports upon request.

Customer and Colleague Liaison

• Liaise with Facilities officers, university clients, subcontractors, staff, residents, and conference delegates as needed.
• Confidentially liaise with student support services, chaplaincy, and other agencies regarding student welfare, following company policies.
