Facilities Engineer

STEM Recruitment Solutions is searching for a Facilities Engineer to join our client based in Glasgow. This role is a temporary position for 12 months. In this role you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our client's facility and ensuring optimal operational efficiency through planned and reactive maintenance as and when required. There is scope for this role to become a permanent position within the company.

As a Facilities Engineer, you will be required to:

• Fault find and repair building services and equipment - this can be anything from equipment in the production area, to faulty plumbing or groundskeeping
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
• Handle maintenance requests as and when they come in through the work order systems - document these tasks accurately on the system
• Complete risk assessments prior to any maintenance in adherence to Health and Safety procedures
• Work with other departments to plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimise effect on operations
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the department and site
• Perform daily plant and utility checks

Qualifications and Experience

• Engineering qualification (apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or degree) in a relevant discipline
• Open to junior or graduate-level candidates with limited hands-on experience, provided they have a strong engineering education background
• Willingness to learn
• Exposure to maintenance systems, facilities, or process equipment would be beneficial but not essential

Shift Pattern:

• Monday - Friday
• 08:00am - 16:00pm

Salary:

• Starting from £17.00 per hour depending on experience
