Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for Facilities Assistants to join our Porters' Team located in the north of the borough, supporting other sites across the Solihull borough as required. You will be responsible for providing a high-quality facilities/porter's service for the benefit of staff and customers.

Responsibilities
  • Opening and closing of buildings at designated times.
  • Stock control and replenishing of goods.
  • Routine maintenance.
  • Basic health & safety inspections and security patrols.
Qualifications
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels.
  • Physically capable of carrying out routine maintenance repairs and office moves.
  • Work on a rotating shift pattern that may include occasional Saturdays.
  • Will travel to other sites across the borough if required.
