MIG Welder/Fabricator

Location: Wolverhampton
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm (40 hours per week)
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (£14.42 - £15.38 per hour), dependent on experience

We are looking for an experienced MIG Welder/Fabricator to join our growing team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering excellent working hours with no weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out MIG welding to a high standard.
  
  
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
  
  
• Measure, mark out, cut, and fabricate steel components.
  
  
• Assemble and tack weld products prior to final welding.
  
  
• Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards.
  
  
• Operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
  
  
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety procedures.
  
  

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in MIG welding and metal fabrication.
  
  
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
  
  
• Experience using fabrication tools and workshop machinery.
  
  
• Ideally hold an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Fabrication & Welding, Engineering, or a related discipline, or have proven industry experience in a similar fabrication role.
  
  
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
  
• Strong understanding of health and safety within a fabrication environment.
