About The Role:

Working Days: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00

Role Purpose

The Fabric Supervisor is responsible for supervising a small team of fabric technicians and coordinating the delivery of minor fabric works across the estate. The role ensures that reactive repairs and planned small works such as redecorations, flooring installations and general fabric works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Supervision
  • Supervise and support a small team of fabric technicians carrying out day-to-day maintenance and repair works.
  • Allocate tasks and monitor completion to ensure works are delivered within agreed timescales.
  • Provide technical guidance and ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
  • Small Works Management
  • Plan and oversee small works projects including redecorations, flooring installations and general building fabric repairs.
  • Coordinate materials, labour and access requirements to ensure works are delivered efficiently.
  • Monitor progress of works and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors and internal teams where required.
  • Maintenance & Repairs
  • Ensure fabric maintenance activities are carried out to maintain the condition of buildings and infrastructure.
  • Oversee reactive repairs relating to building fabric including walls, ceilings, doors, flooring and finishes.
  • Inspect completed works to ensure quality and compliance with standards.

Health & Safety:

  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with relevant health and safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Support risk assessments and safe systems of work for fabric maintenance activities.
  • Promote a safe working culture within the team.
  • Administration & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of works completed and materials used.
  • Provide updates on job progress and team performance to management.
  • Support the management of work orders through the CAFM system where applicable.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience supervising building fabric or facilities maintenance teams.
  • Practical knowledge of building fabric maintenance including decoration, flooring and general repairs.
  • Ability to manage small works projects and coordinate labour and materials.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements within facilities maintenance.
