Location: Chester (3 days a week on-site)
Contract Length: 12 Months
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, standard office hours with out of hours requirement

Role Overview:

As a Sr. Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, engineering, and implementing configurations across the EMEA network infrastructure. Your expertise will help drive the deployment of cutting-edge technical solutions while adhering to architectural governance, standards, and policies.

Key Skills:

  • proven experience as a Load Balancing Network Engineer.
  • Extensive experience with F5 DNS (GTM) and various F5 Modules: LTM, GTM, APM, ASM, SSLO.
  • Knowledge of virtual Load Balancers and FIPS modules.
  • Proficiency in building and configuring Load Balancers to meet given standards.
  • Experience with VMware's Next Gen Load Balancer (AVI Networks).
  • Automation Scripting skills.
  • Strong DMZ architecture and engineering experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols and security principles.
  • Working knowledge of DNS and IP Address Management.
  • Excellent communication and technical analytical skills.
  • A strong commitment to network security and compliance.
  • Proven troubleshooting abilities for complex network issues.
  • A collaborative spirit, but also the ability to work independently.
  • A client-focused approach to network engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Elicit, analyse, and document technical application and service requirements.
  • Collaborate with multiple technical teams to identify end-to-end solutions that balance business needs with security, availability, and resiliency.
  • Create and document designs utilising best practises and standard approaches.
  • Configure devices and deploy new services into production.
  • Participate in the prioritisation and scheduling of implementation activities.
  • Manage stakeholder requirements effectively.
  • Actively engage in the Change Management process.
  • Assist in troubleshooting existing and new implementations, enhancing services along the way.
  • Identify and manage risks within the operational environment.
  • Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accurately reflects changes in the network.
