EYFS Teaching Assistant Level 2

The Governors of St Joseph's Roman Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our school.

The successful candidate will support children in their learning, maintain high standards across all areas of school life, and work closely with the teaching team to deliver a supportive and engaging early years curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pupils in developing their learning and social skills.
• Support the delivery of the early years curriculum.
• Collaborate with teachers and colleagues to plan and review activities.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Recent experience in an early years setting.
• Excellent knowledge of the early years curriculum.
• A passion for working with young children, and proof of kindness, caring, and flexibility.
• Outstanding practitioner with very high expectations of achievement.
• Commitment to supporting the Catholic ethos of the school.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
• Proven track record of good attendance.
• Minimum NVQ Level 2 and/or Maths & English Grade 4 9 (C or above).
• Willingness to undertake further training.

Full DBS check, including an enhanced DBS, is required.
