EYFS Teaching Assistant - Do you want hands-on EYFS experience before applying for teacher training? Could you deliver focused 1:1 and small-group support that helps children settle, learn, and thrive?
- Immediate start until July 2026
- £81 - £101 per day
- 'Good' primary school, Yardley
- 1:1 and small group support
You'll support high-quality early years provision alongside the class teacher. Expect to set up continuous provision, lead short, purposeful activities in early phonics and number, and provide 1:1 support for pupils who need extra help. You'll model routines, encourage language and social skills, and keep brief observation notes to inform next steps.
The CandidateYou're a graduate with clear communication, a warm, consistent approach, and genuine interest in early child development. You follow guidance, use initiative, and build positive relationships with young children and staff.
Requirements- • Degree - A 2:2 or above in any subject.
- • Communication - Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
- • Enhanced DBS - Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
- • Desire to work in education/with children - Strong interest in EYFS and pupil wellbeing.
- • Experience working with children - Any relevant experience (nursery, mentoring, tutoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
