About the roleWe're looking for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Oakfields Preparatory School. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in inspiring and supporting our children. Working closely with the class teacher, you will help promote each child's learning and personal development, support lesson planning and assessments, and contribute to a positive, nurturing classroom environment. As part of the Early Years team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues, maintain strong communication, and help ensure smooth, supportive transitions for children throughout their learning journey. You will hold a full 12 hour paediatric first aid certificate or the willingness to complete the training.
This is a full time role with a start date of mid April.
Who we are looking forThis role offers a rewarding opportunity to support pupil's learning, wellbeing, and personal development in a nurturing and inclusive environment. You will supervise and support pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs, ensuring their safety and full access to learning activities. Working closely with the teacher and wider team, you will help pupils thrive both independently and in group settings, adapt activities to meet individual needs, and encourage positive interaction and engagement. As a positive role model, you will build strong relationships with pupils, contribute to planning and assessment in line with the EYFS curriculum, and help create a purposeful, supportive learning environment. Regular feedback will be shared with the teacher to support pupils' progress and development.
