Looking to work in Early Years and gain hands-on classroom experience? This role offers the chance to support Reception-aged children in a nurturing, fast-paced setting.
EYFS Graduate Teaching Assistant
September 2025 - July 2026
£85 - £100 per day
Primary School location: Ward of Yardley
Opportunity to support in Reception
The Role
You'll join a Reception class as a key member of the support team, helping children settle into routines, build early learning skills, and thrive socially. You'll assist with phonics, number work, group play, and practical activities - from story time to messy play.
This role is ideal for a graduate looking to train in Early Years teaching or child psychology. You'll be involved in observations, planning simple activities, and working closely with the class teacher and EYFS Lead.
The Candidate
You're calm, patient and full of positive energy. You understand the importance of play-based learning and you enjoy working with young children. Previous experience in nurseries, holiday camps or schools will help, but attitude is everything.
You'll need confidence, flexibility and a nurturing approach to meet the needs of 4-5-year-olds starting their education journey.
The School
This Yardley-based primary school has a well-established Early Years team and a fantastic indoor and outdoor learning environment. Staff are supportive, routines are structured, and every child is known by name.
If you're considering a future in Early Years or education, this is a brilliant entry point.
