Veterinary Surgeon - Modern, Forward-Thinking Clinic London Up to £80,000 DOE + Benefits
An ambitious and tech-enabled veterinary group is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join one of its purpose-built clinics in London. This is a rare opportunity to help shape a clinic's clinical direction, join a high-performing team, and deliver exceptional pet care in a modern, well-supported environment.
This is not your standard 9-5 role, it's an opportunity to drive meaningful change, support the development of junior colleagues, and grow both personally and professionally.
About the ClinicsThese contemporary, stylish clinics are designed to meet and exceed RCVS standards and are equipped to support the highest levels of clinical care. Each location includes:
- At least 3 consult rooms (including a dedicated feline room)
- Open-plan prep area with cutting-edge lab equipment
- Dental suite with integrated tables and X-ray
- Surgical suite with laparoscopy and endoscopy
- Imaging suite (X-ray, ultrasound, VVS kit; future CT and MRI planned)
- Staff-only chill-out areas for decompression and camaraderie
You'll work alongside a talented team of vets, nurses, VCAs and client experience professionals, helping to drive clinical standards and support operational excellence.
Expect to:
- Lead by example in consults and surgery (especially soft tissue and dentistry)
- Play a key role in mentoring and supporting junior vets
- Help develop and implement clinical protocols
- Contribute to the continual improvement of systems and workflows
- Build lasting relationships with clients in a diverse London neighbourhood
We're looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, who thrives on autonomy and challenge. You should be:
- A self-starter who takes ownership and gets things done
- Comfortable with change and adaptable in fast-moving environments
- Interested in developing new ways of working, not stuck in "how things have always been done"
- Passionate about mentoring and team collaboration
- A strong communicator with a people-first approach to client care
- Ideally already developing a specialism or have clear CPD goals in mind
- Orthopaedic or internal medicine experience is welcome but not essential
Opening hours: 08:00-19:00, Monday to Sunday
Full-time: typically 5 days x 8 hours or 4 days x 10 hours (max 40 hours/week)
Weekends: approximately 1 in 3 (rota provided 2+ weeks in advance)
Benefits- 6.6 weeks holiday (incl. bank holidays)
- £1,200 CPD budget + 3 CPD days (with potential for more)
- VDS + RCVS fees covered
- Private medical insurance (you + dependents)
- Life assurance and critical illness cover
- Generous discounts for your own and family/friends' pets
- Season ticket loan (interest-free)
- Salary and bonus exchange scheme (tax/NIC efficient)
This is a unique opportunity for a forward-thinking vet to step into a meaningful leadership role in one of London's most progressive clinical settings.
