Twin Oaks Hotel is looking for a live in Sous Chef to join our team in Chesterfield!
Salary £28,000
40 hours per week
Job Description:
The Sous Chef is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Kitchen. This individual will be responsible, for preparing food to a high standard, stock rotation, Carving on our busy Carvery so will need to be very friendly, customer focused and organised, monitor quality and, helping to maintain EHO standards at 5 stars. As a hotel we offer Breakfast, A la Carte, Weddings , Functions and occasionally fresh Pizza. We like to run a friendly fun fast paced organisation. As well as the over seeing of the kitchen in the absence of the head chef.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee all food preparation, service, and dining operations in the head chefs absence
Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment to EHO,s 5 Star standard
Be responsible for ordering and stock rotation in the head chefs absence
Help to create menus that meet new or existing customers' needs
Have the ability for a variety of operational needs Breakfasts, A la Carte, weddings and functions and fresh Pizza's.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant with supervisory responsibility preferred.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members to exceed expectations.
NVQ level 3 or equivalent
