Experienced Social Worker - Children's Social Care
Location: County Hall, Exeter
Full Time Salary: £39,862 - £47,181 per annum
Team: Children Looked After, Corporate Parenting
We are looking for Experienced Social Workers with a passion for making positive changes for the Children and Young People in Devon to join our Children Looked After (CLA) Team in Exeter & East Devon - a team that's making a real difference, every single day.
We believe that home is where the heart is - and for most children, that means staying with their families, supported by strong, local networks and place-based support. When long-term care is needed, we work hard to deliver permanence from day one, our dedicated CLA team implement restorative practice and relational ways of working , to support children in building lifelong connections with their families and communities.
About the Role
As an Experienced Social Worker within Children Looked After you will be supported by a stable, knowledgeable and experienced management team.
Leading by example you will
Model high standards of professional working
Handle a varied caseload with a focus on long-term positive change
Deliver high-quality assessments that shape children's futures
Work collaboratively across agencies to ensure the best outcomes

A recognised social work qualification & SWE registration

Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A deep understanding of children's social work legislation and theory
