Job Description
Executive Principal - Specialist Provisions

Location: Darlington
Salary: £105,594 - £116,455 (L30 - L34)

The Education Village Academy Trust (EVAT) is recruiting an Executive Principal - Specialist Provisions to lead, shape and develop the strategic direction and high quality provision across our specialist schools.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic leadership of specialist education estate, ensuring delivery of high quality learning and care.
  • Line managing Principals, driving succession planning, professional development and organisational capacity.
  • Driving trust wide policy, strategy and project delivery, including growth, new provision and the SEND hub and spoke model.
  • Representing EVAT in negotiations and strategic discussions with local authority, Ofsted, DfE and regional bodies.
  • Providing guidance to mainstream schools to strengthen inclusive practice and enhance outcomes for pupils with SEND.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with commissioning partners and local authority engagement.
  • Acting as ambassador for EVAT, promoting the Trust's work in SEND and inclusion at local, regional and national levels.
Qualifications
  • Experienced senior leader with a successful track record as a headteacher or equivalent.
  • Credible knowledge of SEND practice, curriculum pathways, assessment, transitions and commissioning.
  • Demonstrated experience of mentoring, managing and developing senior colleagues and building a culture of excellence.
  • Strong people leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, compliance and the regulatory framework governing specialist settings.
  • Commitment to continuously improving provision and outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
