Job Description
  • Lead origination, structuring, and execution of large-scale energy transition and digital infrastructure financings
  • Manage transactions ranging from tens of millions to multi-billion-dollar financings
  • Drive transactions from early-stage origination through financial close
  • Build and manage sophisticated stakeholder and client relationships
  • Lead active business development across energy transition and/or digital infrastructure sectors
  • Leverage and expand networks to originate complex project finance transactions
  • Ensure compliance with Rabobank corporate standards throughout deal processes
  • Partner with Project Finance Europe leadership and deal teams across Rabobank
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and clients across the UK, Netherlands, and key European markets
  • Initiate, sponsor, and lead cross-functional working groups
  • Assess market developments and shape strategic priorities
  • Drive continuous improvement in Project Finance organisation, governance, and long-term capability development
  • Manage Rabobank's most strategic Project Finance relationships
  • Report to the Head of PF Northern Europe
  • Collaborate with risk management, deal execution colleagues, credit analysts, and business development professionals based in Utrecht
Requirements
  • Highly experienced Executive Director in Project Finance
  • Experience managing or having managed a portfolio of clients
  • Proven track record in client onboarding, strategic relationship management, cross-sell, and risk management with large Project Finance sponsors
  • Demonstrable experience leading, originating, structuring, and executing project finance transactions across Western Europe
  • Relevant client network across the energy transition and/or digital infrastructure sectors in Western Europe
  • Commercial drive and a cooperative, can-do attitude
  • Solid business development and analytical skills
  • Strong risk awareness and solution-oriented approach
  • Strong knowledge of project due diligence
  • Experience with financial modelling, credit risk analysis, and legal documentation
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Ability to be physically present in Utrecht for 3 office days, Monday to Wednesday, every 6 to 8 weeks
