Executive Director - Parental Cover (National)

Metal Culture are seeking an Executive Director to step into a parental cover role, from December 2025 until February 2027, four days a week. Salary £50,000 - £55,000.

Job Description: Metal Culture are seeking an inspiring Executive Director to step into a parental cover role, taking on the responsibility of guiding Metal's fundraising; business planning and financial sustainability; social impact; and governance. This role offers the opportunity to shape and support Metal's infrastructure and ways of working, energising and embodying our commitment to diversity, access, and environmental sustainability.

The successful candidate will be open to testing new funding models, share Metal's core values, and bring a flexible, enthusiastic approach to working across multiple sites. You will join at an exciting time with Metal launching a new strategy in 2024; supporting exciting organisational development initiatives like a 4-day working week, citizen-led decision-making and Artists for Future Policy; and initiating a new social impact framework.

• As Metal's operational lead, most areas of the organisation will fall under your remit and you will be willing to pitch in as required, as everyone at Metal does through collaborative working.
