EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE CLINICAL DIRECTOR

(Permanent- Full Time)

Position: Executive Assistant to the Clinical Director - Clerical Officer V
Location: Clinica Director's Office - National Rehabilitation University Hospital (NRH)
Application Closing Date: 5 pm Friday 16th October 2026

The Administrator will be responsible and accountable for the efficient day to day administration of the Clinical Director's office basis and assisting with the strategic development of the service to meet changing organisational needs

Experience & Skills
  • A tertiary qualification.
  • A minimum of 2 years' satisfactory experience in a fast-paced clerical/administrative role.
  • Demonstrated administrative capacity to fulfil the duties of a Grade V Administrator.
  • Experience supporting committees or groups, including coordinating and recording meetings/events.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology essential
  • A background in or knowledge of the Health Services Sector is advantageous.
Qualifications
  • A recognised and relevant qualification in administration, medical or similar of at least Level 5 on the National Qualifications Framework maintained by Qualifications and Quality Ireland, (QQI).
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent keyboard and Dictation skills is essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (in particular Word, Excel, Outlook, Access & SharePoint). Aptitude for computing- ICDL (former ECDL) qualification is essential.
  • Good working knowledge of PAS is essential.

Salary: The salary for the position is based on the Clerical V pay scale, and is commensurate with experience.

Due to the urgent requirement of this post interviews will take place on the 29thOctober 2026.
