Lead Veterinary Surgeon with an Orthopaedic Surgical bias

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a surgical and orthopaedic bias to take the next step in their career. The client is offering a rare opportunity to be part of driving and building their surgical and orthopaedic referral caseload up to a mid-tier level.

Key Information:

- Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum (D.O.E) with up to £5,000 Welcome Bonus (direct applicants) or a Relocation Package available.

- Job Type: Permanent

- Hours: Open to Full or Part-time applicants with hours to suit. No out-of-hours work.

- Location: Tamworth and Atherstone

The successful candidate will be managing an already established surgical and orthopaedic caseload, with support from an experienced nurse team within surgery and orthopaedic procedures. The practice is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment including a new lap spay kit, and orthopaedic air-powered tools.

The ideal candidate would be keen to support the team in all areas and be that clinical lead. Leadership skills would be highly desirable. The practice offers support for those who have completed a surgical certificate or are working towards it. The practice recognises the importance of work-life balance and can be flexible with working hours/patterns for the right candidate.

The practice sees a varied caseload of routine and more advanced primary care services including orthopaedic surgery, laparoscopic spay and laparoscopic biopsy, soft tissue surgery, eye, heart, and skin treatments, arthritis management and cancer treatment.
