About The Role and Person
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Events and Fundraising Manager to join the College. The role involves delivering the College's strategic objectives related to commercial income from events, activities, and fundraising.
The post holder will oversee the College's events schedule, including events such as the Hertfordshire Heavy Horse and Country Show, Classic and Vintage Car Show, Easter and Halloween events. They will also be responsible for increasing income from garden tours, school visits, retail outlets, venue hire (weddings and filming).
Additionally, they will support the College's fundraising efforts by growing Friends of Capel memberships, fostering a vibrant alumni community, and supporting the Patron.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing events and generating income, with a creative, customer-focused approach, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work calmly under pressure. Knowledge of charitable fundraising regulations, charity law, ethical giving, fraud prevention, money-laundering, and corporate social responsibility is essential. Flexibility to work across campuses, including evenings and weekends, is required.
