EstimatorWalls Construction is seeking to strengthen our Estimating team with the addition of an experienced Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated construction professional to contribute to the successful delivery of high-profile projects across multiple sectors.

Walls has recently secured a number of prestigious projects across sectors including Data Centres, Food & Beverage Facilities, Finance and Technology office fit-outs, Pharmaceutical, Residential, and Commercial developments.

• Prepare accurate, detailed, and competitive tenders based on drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and other tender documentation.
• Manage the tendering process from initial enquiry through to final submission to secure profitable work orders.
• Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.
• Analyse tender information for risks, ambiguities, and commercial considerations, seeking clarification where necessary.
• Develop detailed cost breakdowns and pricing strategies aligned with project scope and market conditions.
• Collaborate with internal teams including design, planning, and commercial departments to ensure robust tender submissions.
• Attend site visits, pre-tender and post-tender meetings as required.
• Assist in the ongoing development and improvement of estimating systems, processes, and procedures.
• Stay up to date with contractual changes, market trends, and developments within the construction industry.
• Support the handover of successful tenders to project delivery teams.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in an Estimating or Estimating/QS role within the construction industry.
• Third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, cost planning, and procurement processes.
• Proven experience in preparing tenders for construction projects.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to identify risk and opportunities within tender documentation.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with estimating/QS software is required.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
